Lida Bushloper is an eclectic writer and poet.  Her work has appeared in The Lyric, The Formalist, Grit, Better Homes and Gardens, The Huntington Library Quarterly, The Explicator and many confession magazines.  She was awarded the Academy of American Poets and Henri Coulette Memorial Poetry Award sponsored by California State University, Los Angeles, and was a finalist for the Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award sponsored by The Formalist.

She has worked as a security guard, square dance teacher, hospital buyer, university instructor and librarian (specializing in technical services) and has lived inJacksonville,Florida;Atlanta,Georgia;Toronto,CanadaandSouthern California.  Her experiences and her keen observations fill her writing with both humorous and serious glimpses of people and relationships, as well as introspective and philosophic views of life.

Lida holds masters degrees in both Library Science and English Literature
